HBO has just started a new series, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective
Agency. If you haven't read the books, you should. The HBO series
seems, so far at least, to be faithful to the books (or at least to the
spirit of the books), has beautiful images from Botswana, and has great
African music to boot. Lots of thumb piano.
Check it out.

Diamonds are forever...
sounds fantastic. (unfortunately I don't get HBO) maybe the library will eventually carry the series on DVD...Botswana's beautiful - apparently what you get when you've got a small population and lots of valuable natural resources. Enjoy!

I have read at least one of the books, and enjoyed it enough to check out a TV version. Do you have any way of saving an episode for me to watch?
