Do you have them in blond?

Yin and Yang with Teeth

Kitty and Kitty Kitty

We dropped by the the Town Lake Animal Center when they first opened (11:30 AM) and found a lovely pair of litter mates, tabbies, one silver and one gold. Their assigned names were Molly and Erica, but I don't think those are going to stick. Suggestions? What we are considering so far:

  • Cat One and Cat Two
  • Kitty and Kitty Kitty
  • Yin and Yang
  • Penny and Nickel (Nicky or Nicole for short)
  • Lisa and Maggie
  • Sasha and Malia
  • Laura and Nicole
  • Felicia and Dolores (Lecia and Dolly)
  • Ginger and Adele
  • Kathy and Katie

Okay, when I say "we" are considering these names, I may be exaggerating. Lyn has already nixed several of these.

They are proving to be as cute as kittens and to have fine personalities. I think we'll keep them.

I always thought Aella would be a good cat name...so you'd just have to think of another good Greek mythology name to go with it. Icarus? That's a boys name, but I like the nickname "Icky".

If you name them cat 1 and cat 2 you could say "Make it so number 1!" just like in Star Trek :>

I thnk Penny and Nickel are my favs, though Malia and Sasha seem more your style....congrats on the new babes!

I think we actually are settling on Penny and Nickel.

(Both Lyn and I first thought that DR stood for Di Richardson but then remembered that we don't know anyone with that name.)

Fine suggestions all. These are both girl kitties, so it would have to be Jeanne Gambolputty de von Ausfern schplenden schlitter crasscrenbon fried digger dingle dangle dongle dungle burstein von knacker thrasher apple banger horowitz ticolensic grander knotty spelltinkle grandlich grumblemeyer spelterwasser kurstlich himbleeisen bahnwagen gutenabend bitte ein nürnburger bratwustle gerspurten mitz weimache luber hundsfut gumberaber shönedanker kalbsfleisch mittler aucher von Hautkopft of Ulm and Bobbie.

If they were boy kitties, I'd be very tempted to go with Trurl and Klapaucius.

I thought of some more, though it looks like you may have already decided:

  • Laurel and Hardy
  • Ace and Deuce (or Acey and Deucey)
  • Aurum and Argentum or Aureus and Argenteus - there is probably a feminine form for these, but I don't really know latin.
  • Everest and K2

What? No one has suggested Sugar and Spice.
Which are much better names than Bump and Grind. Or borrowing from Deb how about Mercury and Quicksilver. Brunhilde and Mighty Mouse - mind not working don't know where that one came from. Mystery and SciFi. Tee hee hee. I'll stop before you throw things at me.

Aw, they look like my Max, who came from Kinshasa. He's mostly grey but with an odd buff colored undercoat. But striped and spotted like these kittens.

I like Penny/Nickel or Sasha/Malia!
